Anything of value is in danger of being counterfeited. Money, casino chips, the Mona Lisa. That’s why hundred dollar bills look and feel the way they do; everything from the fiber paper to the security thread to the color shifting ink makes it more difficult for counterfeiters to crank out convincing fakes. It works for a while, until the forgers up their game, the Fed devises new high-tech ways to thwart them and the whole cycle ratchets up again. It’s much like the cat-and-mouse game played by computer hackers and cyber security experts, a never-ending battle of Spy vs. Spy.
What does this have to do with Substrata? A lot. We recently made the switch to a holographic image for our flagship product Perma-Zyme, because we discovered unscrupulous agents slapping our label on an inferior knockoff product. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery; I suppose it’s a testament to the quality and value of our product. But we’re not flattered. Angry is more like it. After all, there’s only one Perma-Zyme, the proprietary soil-stabilizing formula with more than 40 years of science, tradition, test results and satisfied customers behind it.
So the next time you purchase Perma-Zyme, look for the holographic foil label. It’s your assurance that the product you’re buying is the real deal, not a bait-and-switch produced by scammers looking to make a quick buck by cashing in on our good name.
As we always say, “Accept no substitutes!”
