Uses of Perma-Zyme

Perma-Zyme's three primary uses are unpaved roads, paved roads, and pad construction.

Unpaved Roads

Unpaved road construction is the most popular use of Perma-Zyme, as it can make unpaved roads concrete-like for over 10 years. Perma-Zyme is erosion-resistant and resilient in all climates, including rain and snow, and treated roads experience significantly less dust. This substantially reduces maintenance costs tied to traditional unpaved roads, such as repeat gravel and chloride treatments.

Paved Roads

Perma-Zyme treated subbases for paved roads are unique and offer immediate, substantial cost savings of up to 80% compared to traditional paved road construction methods. This is because a Perma-Zyme treated subbase reduces or eliminates the need to import aggregate subbase, and users may also be able to apply a thinner layer of pavement. Using Perma-Zyme treated subbase allows rural areas to pave roads that were previously not an option due to budget constraints.

Pad Construction

Perma-Zyme is ideal for turning native soil into durable, water-resistant pads for heavy equipment, storage, parking, drilling, and more. The unique enzyme formula creates a hard, concrete-like surface that can support the weight of constant heavy equipment and truck traffic for up to five years or more. It also greatly reduces dust, improving safety and visibility on jobsites.
